Home to the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, this building dates back to the late 1930's and comprises of several concert halls; Bulgaria Hall,which seats 1100, and the smaller Chamber Hall, Marble Studio and Art-gallery. Regular cycles of classical music concerts. Other classical concerts by the New Symphony Orchestra or the Classic FM Orchestra also take place here on occassion.

“St. Alexander Nevski” Orthodox Cathedral

The St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral, and it is one of the 50 largest Christian church buildings in the world. It is one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions. There is a museum of Bulgarian icons inside the cathedral crypt, part of the National Art Gallery. The church claims that the museum contains the largest collection of Orthodox icons in Europe.

It opened its permanent exhibition on 17th September 2015 officially. It is located at 1 Banski Sq (the former building of the Central Mineral Baths). The permanent exhibition can be seen in 8 different halls which cover the period between the 6th millennium BC up to 1940s.

City Garden

The City Garden is Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria's oldest and most central public garden, in existence since 1872. It is located right next to Grand Hotel Sofia and the National Theatre, in the historical centre of the city.

Borisova Garden

Borisova gradina is the oldest and best-known park in Sofia. Its construction and arrangement began in 1884 and it is named after Bulgarian Tsar Boris III. Today in the park are located the Vasil Levski and Bulgarian army stadiums, as well as the Ariana Lake, which was the first one in Sofia with boats in it. During the winter it is used for ice-skating. The park also has tennis courts, monuments, fountains and kids’ playgrounds.

Vitosha National Park

Standing at a proud 2290 meters high, the mountain provides hiking and skiing opportunities for the city's residents and can be a welcome break from the summer heat. The main ski center on Vitosha mountain, Aleko is best accessed with the gondola lift that departs from the ring road near the turnoff for Bistritsa.
