Joro Ivanov

Joro Ivanov graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York and practiced in France, Italy and Germany, featuring twice in the prestigious contest Bocuse d’Or.

For seven years he was Chef at the two-Michelin-star restaurant „La Truffe Noire”, Brussels before joining the Grand Hotel Sofia team in 2007 to start a new gourmet concept for the hotel main restaurant Shades of Red. Joro Ivanov's experience and creative approach always result in joyful experiences for the senses at every meal. Combining authentic local traditions with the latest trends in culinary, he takes you to a culinary journey in the finest cuisine.

Joro Ivanov is Vice President of Euro-Toques International - the association of European leading chefs and a President of Euro-Toques Bulgaria. In 2008 Joro Ivanov was elected Honorary Cook of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
