Joro Ivanov graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York and practiced in France, Italy and Germany. For seven years he was Chef at the two-Michelin-star restaurant „La Truffe Noire” in Brussels before joining the Grand Hotel Sofia team in 2007. In 2008 he was elected Honorary Cook of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. Chef Joro Ivanov is cuurently a President of Euro-Toques Bulgaria – the Bulgarian representation of the leading European chefs association.
